Something I've quickly found out
when you're primary drawing medium is pencils
there's a lot of baggage when trying to take them with you on business trips. Then again, I remember an art teachers whose class I once attended that hauled around boxes of Sharpies, and required any newcomers to the class who weren't experienced in drawings to use nothing but those. It's a concept that's related to another post I plan to make in the near future.
But before that, here's some neat links I've found lately:
True Comedy Comes from Character: A very knowledgeable piece. It's a lot more than just how well you draw a character or how cool he's designed; if she has all the personality of a plank of wood, people are not going to find her appealing (apologies to Ed, Edd, n' Eddy fans). Warning Signs: Sometimes the best time for you to get work done is the same time those you know may want you to do something else. Sometimes you're going to have to make a choice. (Source: The Art of Non-Conformity)
PROCRASTINATION: Similar to the above song. (Source:Robaato)
Ralph McQuarrie RememberedRalph McQuarrie was one of the creative masterminds behind Star Wars, creating much of the breathtaking early concept art that would fuel what eventually became the Star Wars we know and love today. Take a look through some of the art of a giant series gone by. (Source: Star Wars)
